At DaisychainBaby, we are completely committed to growing our business organically, which means that we are starting small with a view to steady growth, enabling us to adhere to the high eco-friendly targets we set for ourselves as a company. There are 3 key areas our eco promise addresses:

Organic Products

To ensure that we are providing our customers with the perfect products, DaisychainBaby only sources items to sell which are organic, ethically produced, Fair Trade or eco-friendly.

This means that our clothing is NOT made from any synthetically manufactured material which can potentially harm baby skin, and our skincare products do NOT contain any harmful additives such as parabens, petrochemicals or SLS (sodium laureth sulphate).

None of our products have been tested on animals – guaranteed.

Wherever possible, we seek to work with suppliers who have been recognised by industry certifications. These include:

Ethical & Fair Trade

Wherever possible, DaisychainBaby sources suppliers who have been Fairtrade certified by the Fairtrade Foundation. Fairtrade is a tool for development that ensures disadvantaged farmers and workers in developing countries get a better deal through the use of the international FAIRTRADE Mark.

We only source retail goods from those who operate non-exploitative employment practices.

We are approved members of Ethical Junction, which brings together businesses and consumers who share a commitment to ethical values. Ethical Junction have independently verified that DaisychainBaby meets the ethical values they require for membership.

We ensure that everyone is treated fairly regardless of gender, race, disability, ethnic origin, marital status, age, religion, or sexuality.

We monitor the way we do things to make sure employees, potential employees, and customers are treated fairly and without prejudice.

Environmental Responsibilities

DaisychainBaby does not believe in long term damage for short-term gain, rather we understand the importance of acting in a socially responsible manner and have demonstrated this by becoming a member of "1% for the Planet", whose mission is market forces to drive positive environmental change by inspiring companies to give.

We will recycle all waste produced by the company.

We ensure that every aspect of our business is environmentally friendly in some way. By way of an example, our web hosting company uses 100% green renewable energy:

While our print company has been independently certified to ISO 14001:2004 International Standard in recognition of their environmental management system:

We will not send any unnecessary paperwork with your order. Any printed paperwork that you do receive from us will be printed on recycled paper.

Our packaging, which is gift wrapping as standard, consists of a minimum of 80% recycled materials, (we're working on the other 20%!). All packaging that you receive from us is 100% recyclable so please use it again and again! We do not want to overpack your order, but must protect it from damage. Please rest assured that our bubble wrap, tissue paper and packing chips are all recycled.

In addition, our parcel distributors operate with a detailed strategy which is aimed at minimising their environmental impact.
