We use WorldPay to securely process our card payments, which is part of The Royal Bank of Scotland group.

The WorldPay payment system uses a combination of both established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. The transfer of purchase details from our site to WorldPay are encapsulated using their own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol. This uses a combination of standard methods such as PGP, RSA and MD5 to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof via SSL.

Any communication between the shopper and WorldPay is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by your browser using 128 Bit SSL. You are also protected from fraudulent use of your card in a "card not present" environment, by your card issuer.

Data storage on WorldPay systems, and the communication between WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, is regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment.

Encrypting Your Data

We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which is a certified method of transmitting your personal data over to our website in a secure way. Our SSL is provided by GeoTrust , and you can verify it by clicking on the logo you see throughout our site. SSL basically scrambles the information you submit so it cannot be tampered with.

How Can I Tell Your Site Is Secure?

You can tell that our site is secure in 3 ways:

• You may be able to view the closed yellow padlock to the bottom right of your browser window, depending on what browser you’re using. This means that any data being transmitted is encrypted.
• In the web address field, the url will change from http:// to https:// which indicates a secure area where personal data can be submitted.
• By clicking on our GeoTrust logo.
