We've included a selection of questions that will hopefully enhance your shopping experience at DaisychainBaby, separated into how to shop at our site and information you may like to know about the kinds of products we offer. If you can't see an answer to your question, please email us and not only will we get back to you, but we'll update our FAQs too!

1) How do I buy something at DaisychainBaby?

• Select the area you're interested in, either from the left hand column or central navigation bar.
• Once you've enjoyed browsing and have found a product you would like to buy, click on the "Add to Cart" button and you'll notice the shopping bag at the top right corner of your screen refresh to show that you have added an item.
• You can either continue shopping, or click "Checkout".
• You will then be prompted to enter your account information if you have an account with us, or create an account if you don't yet have one. The reason behind creating an account is so that if you visit us in the future to purchase another item, you will not have your time taken up having to re-enter your details with every transaction. Alternately, you can call us on +44 (0)20 7610 4113 and we can process your payment over the phone. Please note that we will require your address, telephone number and email address if you wish to pay via this method, as well as your debit or credit card information.

2) What methods of payment do you accept?

• We accept debit or credit cards (payments secured by WorldPay), PayPal, cheque/money order or bank transfer. For more information, please see our payment section.

3) If I pay by debit or credit card, how can I be sure my details are secure?

• Our customers are extremely important to us, and we understand that you are placing a great deal of trust in us by exchanging personal information. We have detailed sections on both Safe Shopping and Privacy, and protect all our customer information via GeoTrust.
• Furthermore, all debit and credit card transactions are processed in a secure method using WorldPay which means that none of your card information will be at risk.

4) How will my item be delivered?

• We currently work with Royal Mail and offer First Class and Special Delivery to customers in the UK, and International Signed For to customers in the rest of the EU. For approximate delivery times, please see our Delivery and Packaging section.

5) Where do you deliver?

• We deliver within the UK and EU but cannot deliver further than this at present. We are looking into this and hope to change it in due course!

6) Can my item be sent as a gift?

• Yes! One of the joys of buying for babies is as gifts for relatives, friends or colleagues. All our items come gift-wrapped as standard and will be delivered in either one of our gift boxes for very small items such as baby socks, hats or smaller skincare items, or customised organic "Bags for Life" for most clothing and multiple-item orders. If the item is a gift, and you would like the recipient to receive their item in one of our organic bags, please enter this as a note in the checkout process so we can be sure to meet your request.
• Simply ensure that you add the recipient's address at checkout, and add a message if you would like us to include a hand-written gift card to the package. You will receive your invoice separately.

7) What happens if I need to return my item?

• Whilst we hope you are happy with your purchase, we also understand that a gift may be unwanted or you simply change your mind. With this in mind, we are proud to offer a no quibble 30 day return policy.
• You will need to return the item to us complete and unused with original wrapping where possible.
• We will then help you to either exchange your item, or receive a refund. For more information, please see our Returns and Exchanges section.

8) What happens if I can't find what I'm looking for?

• We are aiming to make the website as user-friendly as possible and also to continually update our products. If you would like to purchase a specific item that you can't find, either give us a call or drop us a line and we'll be happy to help!

9) I wanted to buy something but it's showing as out of stock. What can I do?

• We carefully monitor our stock levels to ensure that if a product is running low, we order more to avoid disappointing customers. Hopefully if something is out of stock, we already know about it and are on the case! You can either make the purchase and we will reserve the item for you, dispatching it as soon as it's received, or we can take your details and notify you once it's in stock.

1) What is organic cotton?

• Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environmnet (Source: Organic Trade Association)
• Organic production systems replenish and maintain soil fertility, reduce the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilisers and build biologically diverse agriculture. (Source: Organic Trade Association)
• Third-party certification organisations verify that organic producers use only methods and materials allowed in organic production. (Source: Organic Trade Association)

2) What are the benefits of organic cotton?

• Certified organic cotton is grown in fields where use of pesticides has been discontinued for at least 3 years. This results in softer cotton of a higher quality that cannot be replicated through the use of conventional farming methods, which consume approximately 25% of the chemical pesticides and fertilisers used in all farming.
• Organic cotton farming is sustainable because the fields are fertilised with natural organic materials making it better able to retain moisture. This in turn protects the livelihood of not only the current generation of organic cotton farmers, but future generations too.
• Organic cotton is kinder to baby skin as it is not contaminated with harmful pesticides. Therefore babies wearing organic cotton garments are less likely to suffer skin complaints and irritation caused by fabric.

3) What are the benefits of buying an item made from bamboo?

• As the world's fastest growing plant, bamboo is naturally organic and completely sustainable (those pandas are onto a good thing!)
• It is a grass so regenerates without the need for replanting.
• Bamboo is rain-fed only and helps to reduce soil erosion.
• It is UV-resistant and completely bio-degradeable.
• Finished bamboo fabric is hypoallergenic and thermo-regulating. It can be washed at the environmenally friendly temperature of 30 degrees.
• It is incredibly soft and can be used to make soft knitwear products and hard-wearing denim.

4) Where does the bamboo come from?

• Our suppliers who use bamboo in the production of their clothing employ full-time staff in the garment factory based in Shaoxing city in China.
• This is the sole facility in China which processes fibre from bamboo and is SA8000 certified, which is the first universal standard for ethical sourcing. SA8000 sets out provisions for issues such as trade union rights, preventing the use of child labour, restricting working hours, health and safety at work and fair pay.
• The bamboo is grown in accordance with the international organic standard of OCIA/NOP which ensures each bamboo stalk is of 100% natural growth and without any chemical pesticides.
• The finished bamboo is sent to the UK by sea which is more environmentally friendly than airfreight using a small shipping company to proctect local business.

5) Why use organic baby skincare?

• Whilst the skin is often considered a barrier to protect what's inside, up to 60% of what we put on our skin can be absorbed. Baby's skin is 5 times thinner than adult skin, and more delicate as it continues to develop, and so it is even more important to be aware of what is being applied.
• Some of the synthetic additives found in some baby skincare can cause harmful allergies which are eliminated through the use of organic products.
• If a skincare product is not made with organic ingredients, you could potentially be rubbing pesticides and fertilisers into your baby's skin! As the skin tries to cope with chemical toxins it becomes weaker and is more susceptible to damage from free radicals, dryness and sensitivities.
• Organic skin care ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, artificial fertilisers and genetically modified ingredients.
• Organic ingredients tend to have stronger life energy, better flavour and smell as well as higher concentrations of minerals.
• Organic ingredients are of much better quality and conequently have better nourishing, moisturising and healing qualities.
